'Tango with Me' gets international recognition

International Afro-Beat star D’bang takes time out of his very busy schedule to hang out with Genevieve, Mahmood Ali-Balogun and the team behind Tango with Me

'Tango with Me', a Nollywood movie produced and directed by the CEO of  Brickwall Communications, Mahmood Ali-Balogun, will become the first Nigerian film to secure international distribution when it opens across all the major UK and Ireland cinema chains on August 12, 2012.

'Tango with Me' is a Nigerian romantic drama film starring Genevieve Nnaji, Joke Silva & Joseph Benjamin. The film won five awards -  best actor, best movie, best director, best cinematographer and best sound design - at the 2011 African Movie Academy Awards.

'Tango With Me' is a contemporary story about forgiveness, which tell the story of Lola (Nnaji) and Uzo (Benjamin), a newly wedded couple facing moral issues as they battle with trials and tribulations within their young marriage.

Talking Drum Entertainment - a UK based distribution company specialising in black films will handle the opening of the movie across all the major UK and Ireland cinema chains in the first phase before proceeding on to other European Countries.

Producer Ali-Balogun in a statement on the international production said: "This is a positive development for African film in general and Nollywood in particular because a wider audience will experience our films and returns on film investments will improve greatly for the benefit of all stakeholders in our bid to take the industry to greater heights".
